This award, sponsored by Ofwat, aims to celebrate great campaigns that change the way people use water. This year's winner is a company who has communicated to and educated a target audience to raise awareness of water efficiency, leading to a positive change in attitudes.
The winners of the Water Shout Award 2009 are: Save Water Save Money Ltd.
They ran a hard hitting campaign 'Same Difference Save Water' using popular children's icons, X factor runners up 'Same Difference', to push the Save Water campaign prior to the release of their first album. The campaign reached an audience of 750,000 through coverage in First News, which is distributed in schools across the country. The Silver and Bronze awards went to Yorkshire Water and Anglian Water.
