The ecocamel aerated showerhead is designed to help save water and save energy - this cuts costs, reduces carbon emissions and helps contribute to meeting goverment sustainability targets.
The ecocamel aerated showerhead uses the technology of fluid dynamics to inject air directly into the water stream through a venturi system which forces a strong pressure of air bubbles inside the showerhead, to cause turblence and spin the water at high speed. The extra velocity produces a unique pressuried shower spray increasing the volume and accelerating the water as it leaves the showerhead to give powerful wetting and washing properties with a high impact rinse.
Conventional showers and flow restricted handsets (that have no air effect) release a flow of water that bounces off your body; this uses more water to wet you and increases wastage. In contrast the ecocamel spray actually contains lighter, softer water molecules which pop on impact with your body, immersing to give you a spa like shower experience.
The ecocamel showerhead has been rigorously tested to ensure that the pressure and flow rate meets the strictest water efficiency criteria, independent analysis carried out by Liverpool John Moores University showed that the ecocamel showerhead produced a consistent flow rate of 6.7 litres a minute at 2 bar pressure and produced a saving of 7.5 litres of water per minute when tested against a conventional unrestricted showerhead at 3.5 bar pressure.
Gary Haines, Utilities and Estates Buyer for UNITE says "By offering a product that not only delivers cost savings and energy efficiencies to our portfolio but also maintains a great shower experience, Ecocamel were quickly identified as our preferred supplier. By working in partnership with experienced fitters, the implementation of all 20,000 shower heads was carried out efficiently and professionally."
J.Bate - Chief Engineer, Norman Spirit says "Over the past three years Norman Spirit has used on average around 55 tonnes of water per day, at a cost of 25,000 Euros per annum. We are in the process of retrofitting all of our cabins and facilities with ecocamel products and the early results indicate that we are saving a staggering 60-70% of the water we use, a saving of around 38.5 tonnes of water per day or 14,000 tonnes a year. This has cut our water costs from 25,000 Euros per annum to around 7,500 Euros per annum and to achieve this we spent £2,700. Furthermore we expect that we will also show significant savings on our fuel and energy costs.
LD Lines have a strong environmental policy and we are absolutely delighted that our work with ecocamel will have a huge positive impact to reduce our carbon footprint and help the environment."
General Manager Thimmaiah Gummatira says "I made my decision to use ecocamel for two reasons: firstly the savings I made, the ecocamel showerheads will save me annually over £4,000 of the combined energy and water cost per hotel, secondly the showerhead gave a very refreshing and excellent experience, which is very important to our guests."
Jacob Tompkins, Director says "This is one of the best performing low flow showerheads I have tried. It has very little noise, it is well designed, it delivers a good flow and an even spray pattern, it is excellent value and is great news for water efficiency. All of my family tried it and liked it."
